A Cemetery
A Cemetery?! How morbid! Well, it's my page, and I have the right to include whatever I want. Actually, as you will discover, it is not such a bad place after all.
"Assistentens Kirkegaard" is located in the beautiful district of Northern Bridge (very direct translation of Nørrebro). It is a cemetery but the graves are scattered among a variety of trees, bushes, benches, etc. The place definitely has the feel of a park rather than a churchyard.
You'll meet famous people there too. Niels Bohr (nuclear scientist), Hans Christian Andersen (The Ugly Duckling, The Emperor's New Clothes, The Mermaid, etc - ring a bell?), Kierkegaard (philosopher), Martin Andersen Nexø (writer, Pelle the Conqueror), Michael Strunge (poet), and more, are burried here. That makes it a nice place. I've always liked to be in good company.
Doesn't it look inviting? Well, I can't help liking the place. And that goes for a lot of people.
Well, yeah, the danes are rather informal, I forgot to tell you. At least she lying outside the grave, right? It's not so bad. The picture below, though, goes a few steps further
Now, you've seen it. Admit it, it's a nice place.
